The Kampot Noir has large black berries with a mature aroma. The pepper convinces with a short, intense and then long pleasantly round spiciness. It has notes of citrus and thyme. Kampot Noir harmonises with pasta, chicken, fish and vegetables. In the Cambodian province of Kampot, pepper has been grown for centuries and is one of the best in the world. This spicy black pepper grows in the south of Kampot province, which lies between the southern foothills of the Elephant Mountains and the Gulf of Thailand. Due to this special location - between the mountains and the sea - the pepper plant grows on a particularly nutrient-rich soil and can thus develop its full aroma.
